WS12A is not a two way device. There is no way that the controller can know you turned it on locally. A tow way switch would send a on or off back on the line or at least some brands do. Not sure that any X10 ones do. So no macros can be triggered.

Brian's right. The only way you could do it is if you have a two way switch that transmits the HC when it is used locally. A less than ideal solution would be a "stick on" switch next to the regular switch.

Thanks for the quick reply....

I wanted to workarounf this limitation by creating a timer that is triggered every 10 minutes. I realized that timer could only be triggers once.

Is there a wa to create a timer that will trigger every xxx minutes. I would like to achieve this without having to write mutiple timers.

TIA.

Some of us don't have a life and monitor this board almost 24/7. ;) There's usually someone around most of the time to help.

Well you could use the approach I recommended here. (http://www.x10community.com/forums/index.php?topic=8768.msg53054#msg53054)

The same cautions apply, however.

Perhaps a better solution would to be tous one of the motion sensors that triggers the light via a macro

Add a slimeline switch next to WS12A and control the macro: On, wait 10 minutes, Off.
You can also specify the brightness, too.

Keep in mind that the "stick on" switch will need to be in range of your CM15A or other transceiver.
