Title: Repeating macro
Post by: rocket on August 08, 2006, 07:36:28 PM
Every time I set up a macro and activate it with a unit's ON command, the macro just keeps repeating out of control until I delete it and re-save the blank macro screen to the interface. How can I make macros that just happen once and then stop until the trigger gets activated again?

This is the way most macros work unless you've inadvertently created a loop!
Post the steps in your current macro and we'll take a look at it.
Also let us know if you have any motion sensors and their house and unit code settings.

If you add a 2 seconds delay as the first step for the macro; maybe it will not loop on itself. I had a similar problem; this the I have corrected the problem. YCA

Normally macros don't repeat in an endless loop unless you have a repeater in your setup!
Or your triggering with a motion sensor that keeps detecting motion!
The 2 second delay posted by yca  should fix this. Also  try purging delayed macro events/clear the interface then upload your macro! If these fail do as steven r suggests and post your problem macro! ;)
