Post by: VAX10 on August 19, 2006, 09:45:07 PM
I just received the $10 deal,  RCA Activehome controler.  I thought it would include software, nope.

Can we download software?

Thanks,

What operating system does your PC have?    If it's windows 9X, Active Home and the CM11A serial interface will work. If it's Windows XP, it may or may not, since some XP systems have Com port problems.

vax10; If you are using XP as Dan said some have problems with it. Let us know and we have some tips that sometimes help. One of mine is fairly stable with it the other still is strange from time to time.
I have never gotten the Sound Effects like the "Welcome" or switch Clunks" to work in XP.

Certainly! :)

I always start here: X-10's FTP Site (http://ftp://ftp.x10.com/pub/) for X-10's "Older" stuff. [NOTE: The Forum software keeps inserting HTTP in front of my LINK when it has to be FTP.  Sorry, but you'll just have to correct it yourself.]

If they insist on a REGISTRATION ID (Secure Software Download), you have to start here: Software Download Link Request (http://www.x10.com/register/download.htm).
