Title: Security Transceivers?
Post by: father0fseven on September 01, 2006, 02:11:21 PM
So home automation has something that can take a radio signal (say from a remote) and convert it to an X10 signal (see TM751).  Is there anything that can take the RF signals from security system devices (say door sensors) and convert them to an X10 response?  I can think of a few uses that are non-security related if I can find such a beast...

WGL makes a receiver that can process Standard X10 and Security RF commands. That said it doesn't directly send out a line signal. It sends the data to a computer [on 24/7 if you want it to always work] and I believe there is software that can processes it and then send X10 commands over the powerline through another interface.
TTA posted as I was typing. I forgot the Beta testing for AHP ::)

You'll have to wait for it as TTA noted it is in beta testing! And it won't be long if indication from past beta testing  is the same! 2-3 months! ;)

Is that what that was about? At the time, I was still waiting for my order so I skipped it...
