I'm not sure if that is the specific model you are looking for, but a quick ebay search found a handful of Radio Shack clock radios with X10 capability. They range from the blocky wood grain typical of the 80's to the more sleek white cubes common for alarm clocks in the 90's. I haven't seen many people list components for sale here in a while (but I also haven't looked) so second hand is probably your best bet. The ones on ebay are in the $10-20 range so seem like your best option.

I was running X10 on a Gateway computer with Windows XP. The Gateway finally crashed. I can not retrieve any of my files. I have another tower that has Windows XP on it but I need the software to install on the computer. Does anyone have a link or download for Xray Vision, Xray Vision WEB, MultiView and MultiView WEB? I could really use an assit on this. Thank you.

Been trying to re-install HomeGenie to RPi 3b+ again but again been running into problems with access permissions. I manage to install the 32 bit operating system on the card, then try to install HG 1.3 as I always have. After a bunch of error messages I found I did not have sudo access so I was not allowed to install the system.
Any help would be appreciated. Dave Afterthought. After further trials and study, I realized I needed a seperate install to install mono. After I did this as shown at https://www.mono-project.com/download/stable/#download-lin-raspbian the install went as always. Now restore backup and run. |

I'd never heard of this camera viewing application. A quick look for the application reveals it is capable of viewing USB cameras. So it mmay be possible to add an old x10 camera but since it doesn't have the ability to send x10 you'd have to switch your camera feed via a remote.
I believe most here still have one or more old style x10 cameras, however most of us have switched to the more reliable and better picture supplied by IP cameras. I believe the xray multivitamin software would be a better choice for viewing those cameras while they still work. If you have the newer x10 Ip cameras not the linked ones then Agent DVR will work with these and should be easy to configure. |

I'm looking to buy one of these old clock radios from about '89 if anyone still has one. These were also sold under the Stanley LightMaker branding around 1988-1989. I'd guess they're somewhat uncommon. I'd also be interested in the Stanley version, though I already have that one. The RS unit can be seen in the 1989 RS catalog. It should say Chronomatic / Plug N Power on it and has the usual controller rockers up top.

So I actually found the original C64 software for the CP290 online and downloaded it to a 5 1/4” floppy, I just don’t have the commodore specific interface cable for the 290 yet. It’s more to mess around with and yes just simple timers. I don’t have any plans for smartphone or app integration. X10 appealed to me because it can function independent of all that. There isn’t a whole lot on our property to control. The CP290 and its software looked good enough to control some timed holiday lights and also put my old computer to use. I’m glad it can be connected to the modern world but it’s not where my interest lies personally.

Are you just wanting to send and receive X10 power line commands from your C64?
Not programming the CP290 for things like timers. I saw a few on EBay but they maybe over your budget. You indicated it was a serial command from your software on the C64 The serial CM11A used Active Home on older Windows. The USB CM15A Used Active Home Pro on Windows. Some here are using a Raspberry Pi to control X10 https://forums.x10.com/index.php?board=165.0 |

It's been probably 35 years since I used a CP290 but IIRC it is pretty much limited to simple timers. That may be OK now but as you play with it you'll probably want some more flexible conditional logic and perhaps Alexa integration. As you peruse this forum you'll find lots of good ideas for that.
