WS467 Woes... low light level

Just bought (3) WS467's. I'm not electrically savvy, so here's the application:
(2) outdoor 3-light incandescent lanterns.  Each has 3-60w bulbs. Total load: 360 W.

Installed the first module.... lanterns appeared dimmed.... 1/3 or 1/2 power. Tried another... same. 2 out of 3 behave the same. I've not tried the third, nor did I install a suspect module elsewhere yet.

They do respond to remote (just simple transiever setup, Code M, Device 3). I have 3 other lights on this code, all work fine with different vintages of switches. All are on different circuits.

The old manual on/off switch works just fine... full power.

Any hints, or additional things I should do before I throw my hands up??

Sounds like you have theĀ  ???"New and Improved" ??? WS467s. They don't act the same as older ones you may have.

The push button on the "new and improved" WS467 works differently than on the old WS467.

A quick press and release toggles the module between either Off or to its previous Dim level.

If dimmed, press and hold the button and it will get dimmer.

Press and hold the button again and it will get brighter.
Yesterday it worked.
Today it doesn't work.
X10 on Windows is like that.

Doggone it, the built in dimmer was it.
I wish the instructions included in the box told me this.

Thanks so much!!!

X-10 is a "green" company and never throws anything away.  They'll continue to ship the old instruction sheet until they use up the 13 million they have in their supply room.  ;D

Or mix old and new versions in the same shipments.
