[HELP] WS12A Turns ON But Not OFF?!?
« on: July 02, 2007, 11:32:12 AM »

I have a WS12A switch which I have had for over four years. All of a sudden, I can turn the switch on thru my mini timer, thru my remote and at the switch itself BUT I can only turn the light off at the switch. Remember, never a problem in four years and all my other X-10 switches and modules work fine. Any suggestions?

What changed? New power-tool battery pack plugged in ...in the garage? New PC in the kids room? New Big Screen TV? Cell phone charger left plugged in?

Answer Dave_X10_  question first.
If the answer is "no changes" (including the bulb in the WS12 fixture),  then can you DIM the fixture being controlled by the WS12A? Specifically can you turn the WS12A fixture ON and then DIM the fixture to off.... or does it start to dim and then suddenly freeze?

I have the same setup and the same problem.  This just started happening about two weeks ago.  Interesting thing is I also have the same module in another room on a different channel.  That one doesn't turn on when it shouldn't.

On the one that is turning on when it shouldn't, it will dim after it is on.  As for what changed...nothing that I can think of.  I did replace some of my wlectrical wiring for the house but that has been done for a while and is all working fine.  I tried changing the channel but that didn't change anything.
