I'm working on an idea that would use the DS10A switch as a wireless trip switch. Can anyone tell me about the signal the DS10A produces? I'm new to this but I think my concept may be useful if it works.

Data format for X-10 wireless units

If your trip switch idea involves a safety of life application (I.E. depended on to kill power)... be aware that to many things can prevent an X10 signal from reaching it's target and performing its function 100% of the time.  ;)

Sorry. I should have been more clear. This does not involve a safety trip. This is strictly a security app.

PUCK, thanks for the format info. Are you aware of any USB receicer other than the Activehome Pro? I don't mind using it but it is a lot of overkill for what I need to do.

Only other interfaces that I am aware of are for RS-232 serial port.
