Ninja won't stop sweeping.

I have always had a problem with getting the ninja to move when I wanted it to, but now it won't stop moving!
When I unplug the transformer and plug it back in, it goes to home then starts to sweep. (I was in the middle of setting the positions.)  I have also tried to unplug at the connector. Removed the batteries from the remote.

I had this happen once with one of mine that I had mounted upside down and rain water got into it. I took it apart and let it completely dry out for a couple of days. Once dry it started to work again. That was 6 months ago and it is still working.

If yours has never gotten wet I would suspect that you have a defective Ninja. If it is still under warranty you may want to make arrangements to return it.

This is a stab in the dark since I don't have a Ninja Mount, but try clearing all positions with the remote control.

If all else fails try unpluging it ::) ;)

wait ::) ;)

then plug it back in. ;)

Once power is returned it should center its self and stop!

Had to do this for mine once! ;)

Mavrik:

What software are you using to control the ninja with ?

I did some tests here and could get mine ninja to lock in the scaning mode as well ! ::) ;) :D ;

The aboved steps I posted didn't stop it either!

As it turned out it was the software/setting or the info stored in the CM15A or both!

Look for "sweep through preset positions during scan" and uncheck if you have it!

I found the problem (many months ago, just wanted to help out the 1000+ people that have read this post already). If the ninja is in scan mode and the control is shut off (turn on another camera) it will keep scanning until the control is turned back on the ninja.
