VK82A always on...is this ok?

Hello,
I emailed tech support but never received a reply.
I have the VK82A sender hooked up. Both units are always on. Is this ok for the units, or should I turn them off when not in use? I don't want to shorten their life span!

If your concerned about their life you can plug them into appliance modules. Set them to the same house/unit code so turning one Off or On turns the other as well! ;)

Don't you have hissing problem? What is the distance between your Sender and the Receiver?
