Does anyone know how to reset factory defaults to this remote. I was working fine, then all buttons TV,VCR,CBL volumes control JUST my television and the X10 wireless speaker units won't respond. Please help me out........Somebody!!!!!!

Hi Again Fellow X10 users,
I have noticed that 226 people have read my last post. Is it really a big secret how to reset (or not) the remote control for the wireless speakers system? It is a UR78A. I have read that lots of you people are writing fixes to software glitches, and, doing some incredible things with everything BUT the simple remote control unit. I'm hanging in there. Any ideas at least?

Most electronics reset to defaults when the batteries are removed! Have you tried this?
Is there a chance something was spilt on it?
You may have to take the remote apart and clean the button pad I did this with a remote of mine(not X10) made it work like new again! .
Chances are  the remote button pad is dirty as it sounds like only some of the buttons don't work! If the buttons that don't work were ones you used a lot the contacts could be wornout. If cleaning and removing the batteries don't work it is best just to replace the remote!
