Hi !

Since November 2006, we have to deal with AHP ver. 3.206 (On Alert plugin version).

When are you going to fix the alarm status bug ? (when alarm system is armed via AHP).

No more entries in the forum by x10 team since weeks .... why ?

I thing this software is still in development, so we have to work together : us and x10 staff.

Thank you.
Thank you !
:) Automation is funny with X10 Gadgets ! ;)

It really appears that the only support available to AHP users is through this forum from other users.

HA Dave

You got it! But fortunately, I have always found all the answers I needed here at the forum.

Yes.  Unfortunately.  As I and a couple others were just discussing on YIM, we (the users) are developing the only "new software" and acting as unpaid technical support!

Sorry X10, but the truth is the truth!   :o

In the real world, the only constant is change.

When I'm online you can find me in the Home Automation Chat Room!

Yes it's been a long time since X10 has been of help. Fortunately there are people here on the forum that know more about using AHP than many at X10.

Since X10 has lost a lot of programmers, an upgrade to AHP is not going to happen.

Maybe this will change, but don't expect it.  :(

Sadly this is true. Barring some catastrophic problem, the next time we see an update will be when they have a new plugin to sell us.

Barring any hiring of programmers, don't expect any new plug-ins or any AHP upgrades.  3.204 and 3.206 are stable and without a programming staff, that appears to be end of AHP versions.

Though, without the source code, none of us can "fix" problems and bugs.

If only a CD with the AHP source files had mysteriously showed up on my doorstep.   ::)

I don't expect one show up on my doorstep either.

The one-year anniversary of 3.204 is July 10, 2007 and prior to 3.204 the various versions were in some cases weeks apart. The fastest release was from the very buggy 3.203 to 3.204,just 5 months, and only after many users went back to an earlier version after upgrading, usually 3.202.

Stable yes but ah for the "good old days" when you found a bug and X10 fixed it.
BTW: Has anyone seen any disclaimers on the X10 site regarding the driver issue with Vista. (I haven't.) This, if anything will force them to find a programmer eventually.
Oh well I'm reminded of a saying I heard once that went something like this "The software won't be bug free till it's obsolete."

At least for me, those good old days were all due to Michael Cole, and not X10 itself.  It was his drive and dedication, and not company policy, which got things done.

With Michael gone from X10, those days are gone forever.   :'(

Yes he did play an important role for us.

It's none of my business but I hope it was his choice to leave to leave X10.
His resume couldn't have a better customer service recommendation than a link to this forum.

With consumers being bombarded to change to CFLs, X10 AHP as it exists today is dead.  Unless they come out with a CFL compatible product, the only thing they have left is video monitoring.  From what I understand that is not a great product.  I see X10 going away over the long term.  They are definately not doing anything to support existing users or lay the grounwork to keep us in the fold.  So sad.......strictly a marketing and sales company with no future product o sell.
