- 1.) I have one out of three WS467 switches that I am using on my front porch light that will not respond to my AHP timer command.
- 2.) It will work manually by pushing the button.
- 3.) It will not work from the AHP manually. A Key remote won't make it work either.
- 4.) I have installed a phase coupler to the 220 Dryer outlet.
- 5.) Everything else works fine.
- 6.) I just REPLACED the switch with a new one and it still will not work with the timer.
Can anyone help? Very frustrating...[/size]
Sure it's frustrating! None of the glitzy, *ANNOYING* ads mention *ANY* of the possible pitfalls / stumbling blocks concerning X10.
#1 defined the problem; #2 suggests you wired it properly. #3 indicates it's not "hearing" the PLC command - 'Key Remote' is simply a parallel input method to 'Push the Button' on an AHP screen; #4 is a "random dart" (see below); #5 & #6 are encouraging.
Without a proper foundation in X10 knowledge and a logical plan-of-action, successfully troubleshooting and solving an X10 problem is like hitting the bullseye on a dart board while throwing the darts BLINDFOLDED (*AFTER* someone randomly spun you around!

Back to your experience level -
- Are you 'brand-new' to X10, or did you use it successfully in a previous house and are now having problems in a 'new' house?
- Are you familiar with the terms 'Signal Sucker' and/or 'Noise Generator' ?
- Do you currently own any 'Filters' ?
...Is there anything else I can try?
Rather than volley back-and-forth with 'Try this...', 'Didn't work? Well then, try this...', I prefer to get
Newbies up to a 'known' knowledge level and then work from there.
