Calling the CM15A "cutting edge" is like calling a new slide rule a "cutting edge computational device".

the X10 protocol is 30+ years old, patents have expired, and the technology is not compatable with modern home electronics without considerable tinkering.

Well what I said was:

The CM15A (AHP) is cutting edge home automation technology. Is it perfect..... no, is it defective..... absolutely NOT.

And I stand behind that statement! I didn't mention: the X10 protocol (which) is 30+ years old. I didn't even mention: AC 120 Volt 60 cycle electric... which is over 100 years old.

If.... there is a more advanced HA interface than the AHP... please include the link in your post reply... so I can buy it.

The interface is the CM15A, the program that talks to it is AHP! ;)
If you wish a more advanced HA interface be prepared to pay lots more for it!  ::) ;)
Go to AccessHA, or HomeSeer Forum  those forums deal with many different HA interfaces you can then decide for your self which is more advanced!!
If you wish just the software test run HomeDomination or HomeSeer
Just a few links for you to check out! I'm sure others will supply more!
