Hi all,

TJ, over at iHouse Home Automation, has created a simple, FREE, tool that can be used to see if your camera and video-capture device (VA11A, VA12A, etc.) are actually producing a video feed.  It doesn't capture, stream, or do any other fancy stuff. It just displays the video that's coming out of your video-capture device.

You can download SimpleVideo from the iHouse Home Automation forum (you don't even need to register; though TJ would appreciate it if you do.  ;D ).  Just go to:

http://www.ihousehomeautomation.com

And click on the "forums" tab.  You'll find SimpleVideo in the Software Tools section.

You will need Microsoft .Net 2.0 installed in order to use SimpleVideo.

There is no install program necessary.

Just unzip the downloaded file into a folder of your choice.

Once unzipped, read the README.TXT file for the simple setup instructions.

I hope you find this as useful as I have!
