The active home interface isn't connected.
« on: May 05, 2011, 03:10:26 PM »

I decided to move the AHP software and CM15A from my laptop to my backup webserver (Window Server 2003). The webserver (IIS) isn't running.

I plugged the CM15A into the pc and then installed AHP version 3.313 onto the computer. I also copied MyHome.ahx from my laptop to the server.

I tried to start up my camera macro and it didn't work so i tried to save a change from AHP to the CM15A. I get The ActiveHome interface isn't connected. Check the connections before trying again. When I plugged the CM15A into the computer, windows did see the device but didn't have a driver for it (this also happens on my laptop so I wasn't concerned). I've tried rebooting, closing AHP and restarting it, unplugging the CM15A, etc. but just can't find anything to get AHP to recognize the CM15A.

Any suggestions? I'd really like to use this backup server since it's just been sitting around and not used.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Try unplugging the CM15A from both the USB and the power, and then removing the batteries for a minute or so.
Then, put the batteries back in, and plug it all back together.

Perfect! Such a simple fix. Now I know why you have hero status! #:)

While I had them out I also changed the batteries.

Aww, it was nothing. I just happened to be the first one to respond in this case. Things like that happen sometimes with the CM15A, and one of the first things to try is a "battery-pull reset. "
