XPDF setup like a 3 way switch Possible?
« on: December 10, 2007, 02:02:18 PM »

I tried searching for the answer and cannot find it.  So firgive me if it has already been answered.

I am interested in using the XPDF's for dimming certain lights. My question is could I hook this up in a 3way setup so that if someone turns off the wall switch I want to still be able to turn the xpdf on using the remote without having to go turn the wall switch back on.  If someone has a diffrent idea on getting this to work I am open to suggestions.

The answer to your initial question is No.

If you mount the XPDF in the light fixture, when you turn off thw wall switch, the module looses power.

How about using "Stick-A-Switches in place of the 3-way switches?

I really do not like the look of the stick a switches. I would prefer to keep my switches looking all the same since this particular switch is in the same box with three others.

That is why I was hoping that the XPDF could be installed like it was just another switch in a 3way configuration.
