1200 Watt Chandelier
« on: January 17, 2008, 03:18:46 PM »

I need a wall switch for a 1200 watt chandelier in my foyer. A dimmer would be best, but I guess I would settle for a standard switch if that is all I can find. By the way, it is a 3-way switch. Any suggestons???

FWIW

X10 Pro XPS3 relay switch, and XPSS companion switch.

You are a minimum of 200 watts over the limit of a PLC dimmer switch.

Yes. The highest wattage I have seen is a 1000 Watt dimming switch and that was if it fit in the electrical box and you didn't have to remove some of the heat sink  fins to get it in.
