OS is XP and when I plugged it into my laptop XP recognized it and installed "something" and said it was ready to use. I checked your website for software and it has disk 1, 2, and 3 but the program will not let me load the soft ware withput inserting the "floppy disk". Can you help me please?

Hello Everyone,

Wanted to get your thoughts regarding the current AHP program.  Pleae feel free to post away regarding any possible additions or fixes you feel can be included to better the software.  Maybe you thought of a new macro? Or do you think the software can be improved with a tweak here or there? Or possibly you may have even discovered a bug in the software? Let us know!

Thanks!

I split this from the original thread & renamed this thread as it was an install question not a suggestion!

Wow Has it been that long? time sure flies! ::)

OK now to try and help! ::) ;)
There are a couple of pieces of info you are going to need!

[li]1. Your original order number (registration number is based on it)![/li]
[li]2. Your original e-mail address that you used when your ordered AHP, X10 sends the file to that address If you no longer have access to that address explain that to support[/li]

[/list]
Now if you have both pieces you can get a new download link via  the Software Download Link Request
If not you'll need to call support and explain your situation You may need to call to get your registration number anyways! ;)
Note: The files you are trying to download and install are for ActiveHome (serial port CM11A device)  not ActiveHomePro (USB CM15A device)!
Best of luck!
Cheers!

You need the download key link to get the software. The 1-3 disks are for the old Active Home ands serial controller CM11A.
You should have gotten an email with the link and registration key. If not; as mentioned; a call to support will be needed. Te software installs from an internet connection.

1. Active Home Pro was NOT available in 2002.

2. The OP had to have Active Home and the CM11A. In September of 2001 I bought the CM11A and Active Home from my local X10 dealer.  I used it until I found about AHP.

I don't SELL this stuff... BUT I sure do ENJOY using it!!!

If this is the case simply copying the files to folders named Disk1,Disk2 & Disk3 and making sure the corresponding files are unzipped to those folders should work!  ::)
They would then just need to click on the install file found in the Disk1 folder! Provided all 3 Disk folders are on the same drive! ;)

If the OP indeed has a CM11A, the ActiveHome (1.42) software is available for download as the single file ahsetup.exe as well as divided into 3 floppies.   The single file will install AH from the hard drive.  See:  http://www.x10.com/support/support_soft1.htm

Yesterday it worked.
Today it doesn't work.
X10 on Windows is like that.

Thanks gang--I could not find the original receipt but found one from 2002 so we could reference ahead to 2004. I contacted help today and they said they would send me a link to download the software. Hopefully it will come thru and end my problem. I really appreciate the info you all have provided me. Thanks again and I will wait to see if I have any more problems ,after checking the new e-mail, and then try the suggested solves you have provided. -- Lee
