I am trying to install the ahp software. When it ask me to plug in my devices IE: cm15a I do so then it asks for the driver disk. The documentation says to  go to "program files/common files/x10/DriverInstall/Wireless Transcievers"

I do not get the DriverInstall directory created during the AHP installtion.

What is wrong? Help is greatly appreciated, the brilliant techs at x10 say that shouldn't be happening, sorry and then have nothing to offer.

Are you installing just AHP or AHP plus plug-ins?

The default location for AHP is C:/Program Files/ActiveHome Pro.   The install program also creates a folder called program files/common files/x10/DriverInstall/Wireless Transcievers, but that folder only contains 3 files and they are present in a standard AHP installation even if if you have no plug-ins or wireless transceivers.
I don't SELL this stuff... BUT I sure do ENJOY using it!!!

Thanks for the reply, I am trying to install all the plugins also, but that is not where my problem lies.  During the install of the AHP it tells me to plug in my devices (in my case the cm15a and va11a). The drivers are to be in the directory program files/common files/x10/DriverInstall/Wireless Transcievers however I am not getting that directory created.

Why is it not getting created? How do i get it created?

Thank you for your help

BTW, what version of Windows are you running?

Try installing just AHP/CM15A (Do not install add-ons yet.

Also, delete everything you already installed and start over fresh.

I have reformated my hard drive and installed a fresh copy of windows 98.  I do not get past the ahp install because the directory with the drivers is never installed.

I think the installer is corrupt.   Contact X10 for a new one.   I know of no problems running AHP on Wiin98.

Last night I downloaded the hardware drivers and just installed them. That installed the cm11. When I installed ahp i was then able to install the driver for the cm15a. Now I have two problems, the 3 cameras do not show up as "available cameras" on the multiview tab and when my motion sensors trigger the macros, the macro appears to run but will not save and recordings. However when I run the macro on it's own it works as it should.

Any idea?

JTron

Ok Being new I did not realize that i need to download it to the cm15a. After I did that the macros work fine.

However the multiview componant still does not work. Any Ideas?

I have to ask.  Do you have the va11a adapter for the video input of the camera's?

Anyone who has been here as long as Dan Should Know there are many issues running AHP on 98!
I think Dan meant to say is: "I have\had no problems running AHP on Win98!"
trol1374 search the "Software problems and Bugs" section. I posted many issues with 98 and M.E. as did others!
Look for an old PC with XP installed for running AHP, it really runs best on XP! ;)
