SR731 "Smart" repeater?
« on: March 03, 2008, 11:20:36 AM »

My new SR731 "Smart" RF Repeater is repeating RF transmissions, however some macros are acting on the initial RF signal and the repeated signal(s) are causing trouble.

Other than starting sensor-initiated macros with a delay, are there any ideas on how to handle the multiple RF signals?

I have a couple of SR731's.  I could never get them to play well with the RF receiver built into the CM15a.  I finally gave up, disabled the CM15a's RF receiver, and I use an external transceiver.

One can have up to four SR731's, in either a star or daisy chain (depending on version of the SR731).  The final RF receiver needs to be "smart" too, and the CM15a just isn't.  The receiver needs to know if it is seeing the original RF signal, or one of the up-to-four repeats.

PajamaGuy,

If you have "smart macros" installed, use a flag to lock out the repeated RF

Trigger on A1 on and flag1 off
Set flag 1 on (lockout - prevent multiple RF triggers)
.
. macro operations
.
set flag 1 off (re-enable entry).

If you don't have the smart macros option, you can use a dummy module (on your monitored house code) to perform the same function.
