I think that video receiver has a "F" connector as well and the user can select channel 3 or 4. But the common question is:
can you just hook up to the cable in one area to a sender... and send the entire cable bunch of channels to another areas receiver. And that answer is
no. The sender can only send one channel at a time... and it must be through a tuner of some sort (like
the cable box has RCA outputs.. Bill mentioned). And you must use RCA (yellow/red/white) input cables.
An old VCR tuner could also be used if the VCR is connected to cable. The VCR's tuner would be used to select the channel you would like to send to the remote location. Then you would use the RCA (yellow/red/white) cables to connect to the sender. Then the receivers "F" connector (the type of connector used by the cable company) could be used to run to the TV. Select channel 3 or 4 on both the video receiver and the TV. And you should see the channel selected on the VCR.
