If Your Floodcam Is Coming On During The Day Read This
« on: May 25, 2008, 10:47:05 PM »

If your floodcam is turning on during daylight when it detects motion it possibly could be that you have the dark/light switch turned the wrong way if your camera is doing this try this even if if you think it's correct turn it all the way in the opposite direction and use the remote to cut it off and see if that resolves the problem. Mine doesn't not do this and I had a friend that was experiencing the same problem I have heard reported here, so I climbed up a latter to check and sure enough it was turned in the wrong direction. I have two and neither one does this including the one I just received a few months ago. I know for a fact that some folks probably have it turned in the wrong direction the diagram is not that intuitive and I can see how one could be easily confused. So give it a try and let me know if it helped anyone, Actually a great product if you can get it to work for you. One other thing and I don't know if it's possible to cause this problem but be sure to check your wiring.

Excellent catch  :)+!
Hopefully this will result in a lot of positive feed back\reviews! ;)
Althought I don't have a flood cam you get a rating increase from me! ;)

Just like the old one except there's no minus so instead of a "helpful" option you now have an "increase rating" option.
The old "not helpful" option was being abused. While most people giving a positive rating let the person being rated know, most of the negative ratings were anonymous and often just given to be vindictive.

I have one flloodcam that turned on during the day all the time while the other one does right. I did check the switch, even tried it the other way to see if it helped. I went to Lowes, got a 4 hole mounting plate and a photosensor for about 15.00. I mounted the photosensor in the 4th hole, wired it thru the light circuit only and now it works great and I still have power to my camera at all times. If I had thought about it I could have used a sensor off one of the lights I took down but I kept the sensors in case I need them later and will only have to buy a 4 hole mounting plate. Not looking for browny points. Just thought I would share.

speedbugy another good idea! :)%
tom j rating works just like steven r stated! ;)
Getting users to use the old method without abusing it was like  >*<
Rather than trying to track down abusers I opted for this rating method! ;)
As to date I haven't recieved a negative opinion on it even from X10 Staff! ;)
