Get telphone responder to work corectly.

Dose anyone here know how to make the telphone responder not cut off my answering machine when it picks up. I don't know of any answering machine available without the automatic shut off. What happens now is my phone responder picks up the answering machine cuts off so the person calling has to complete the message within 15 seconds.

I thought someone would have a easyer way like some type of line filter.

Mine does the same thing. The timing switch I believe just extends the time before pickup.
