So I can control house codes 1-10 with the ir543 (using a remote not the buttons on top the IR543). Why not 11-16 ? If I try 11 it will do House code 1 ...and if I try 12 it will do 2. So it does the last number it sees.

Should it do 11-16 or not?

Oh and I noticed it wont turn on a TM751. the relay works when I turn it on in AHP and with the RF remote but not the IR remote. but it will work other mod. addressed to A1.
Thanks to anyone who can help!!

TM751 has no power line receiver in it. So you can only control it with an RF signal. So no power line controller will trigger it on or off.

That is also why; if an RF signal is received while a power line signal is being sent by something else. It will step on it and mess it up.

What kind of remote are you using to control the  ir543?  I have an All In One Kameleon, and I had to program other buttons to use 11-16.  It's because with the ir543, you can't hit 1-1 to get 11.  You have to send an 11 from your remote, and since there isn't an 11 button, you'll probably have to program buttons for each number (11,12,13,14,15,16).

Which remote.
My UR19A I can push 1 and 2 and it then sends the House Code plus Unit Code 12 on; off dim or bright.

It is ur74a.

It will work that way in RF mode. but in IR mode the ur74a and ir543 only goes to code 10. then stops after that.

I never tried IR. So mine may also be the same and I just never knew it.

I checked in the ur74a manual on X10's website and I found the following information.

QuoteHowever, if you use an
IR543, when you press 1-6-ON you turn
on Modules 1 AND 6. The IR543 can
only control 10 Modules (1-9 plus
0=10).

So it looks like you can only use codes 1-10 with the ir543.  But cool function, press 1 then 2 then on, you can control both modules at once.  It's a shame that you can't control 11-16 unless you use RF.  (The manual says that you can use RF and IR at the same time using two different devices)

I've been using the IR543 for 4-5 years now in my theater. The entire theater is one one house code... and it just happens that I use 8 unit codes for devices... and one [more] for 2 macros. And I had NO idea that I could use only 10 codes.
