Assuming I have remote access (LogMeIn) to my AHP system(s)...

Why not use an AM466 to effectively turn-off my DS7000?  (When it is triggering a false alarm - and for emergencies only) -

(I know....I know..... but I was thinking about a re-entrant hourly macro to make sure it stays powered unless I set a flag to turn it off...)

Wont the Batteries need to be removed to kill the whole unit?  When power turns off to the DS7000 it wont loose the zones or state of the unit if the battery is installed. Take the battries out and all memory will be lost when power is cut. The only way it seems so far is using a KR10A or a SH624 remotes Modded with a UM506.

You're right of course - (you are referring to having the UM506 short the DISARM contacts on a remote, right?)

I didn't want to get into soldering - I guess I'll have to test

If the DS7000 is armed and you lose the powerline, does it stay armed?
If the DS7000 is going off (alarm is tripped) and it loses the powerline, what happens?

I guess I'll have to get out a soldering iron....

I have used a Universal Module with a PlamPad (pre-AHP, for me). You can do that with alligator clips. Or maybe even a small wire-nut.
