Wall module turns off but not on
« on: October 04, 2008, 08:59:36 PM »

Hi there,
I'm new to this forum.  All my modules work properly, but I have 2 wall modules next to each other that will only turn off but not on.  I've tried changing codes, etc.  >*< Any ideas?
Thanks, David

djlamm: Welcome to the forum. Please state the model types of the 2 wall modules. If they are dimmers that do not use a neutral wire, you could have the line & load wires reversed.

Hi thanks for the reply.  The modules are WS12A and they are in the same electrical box with 2 addresses.  There is no neutral that goes to them.  There are, however, 2 positive lines and 1 neutral coming into the box.  I have a third standard light switch connected to the other line.

What do you think?

As Puck pointed out earlier, did you check for the proper configuration of the black and blue wires (AKA "Feed" and "Fart")?

djlamm,

Sounds as if your WS12a units have the newer "soft start" features.  Please try re-identifying these units as "LM14a 2-way Lamp Modules" and let us know how things are working.

Hey Boiler,

Thanks!  That worked great.  The icons in the program don't show the correct status, but the timers work properly.  I appreciate it. :)%
