using vga video sender as ir receiver

Hello Forum.
I have the computer to tv video sender, and it doesnt work very well so i dont use it. i was wondering if i could use it as a receiver for my harmony ir universal remote control so i dont have to buy the ir mini controller.
and ideas?

I had purchased the PC to TV  system for my Home Theater... and it didn't work out like I had hoped. The unit can be used to send a IR signal to a remote location (equipment rack) but to be honest the powermid works best for remote IR. Nether unit will convert the IR to X10. For that you will need the IR mini controller (that's what I use).
