I have a 120V 250W PURELY resistive load to control. I do wish to use the "dimming" feature to implement variable power control as well as full on/off capability. Ability to handle up to 300W or more would provide a welcomed operating margin.
I can use a plug in module, but box mounted such as a replacing a dimmer switch would work just as well. There are no mounting restrictions. I would like a list of devices to choose from.
How many "steps" of dimming are available? 8 would be sufficient. 16 great. 32 and I'm in heaven.
If a list cannot be provided then I would like to be pointed to the technical information for each of the modules so I can make an informed selection myself. As for my qualifications I'm a 25+ yr biomedical electronics technician, could do all this myself, but lack the technical data ( IE: schematics ) to get the information from for myself. That most of the technical data available targets the electrician or typical home owner.
Best I've been able to gleen so far are references to some modules allowing use of a neutral connection but little further description than that. I'm simply needing a bit more information.
