Interface Troubleshooting
« on: December 18, 2008, 08:19:40 PM »

Can anyone tell me how to troubleshoot an interface? Timers and macros are all working correctly when running from the PC, but not when stored in the interface. Yes, I did download to the interface. I cleared the memory and downloaded. I unplugged and removed the batteries.
I wrote the simplest of macros, reloaded the software, etc. Wireless remotes are working.

Also, when writing a macro, I'm trying to use a Module Status condition. When I go to edit the condition, the module I want as part of the condition is not listed. Only code A is listed and the module is D. What am I missing? Thanks.

ckj616,

That's a bit odd - normally timers and macros work "better" from the interface.  Could you give us an example of one of your macros and let us know what type of modules you are using?

If you are using a newer "soft start" wall dimmer, try re-identifying the unit as a LM14a 2-way lamp module.  This interface works better with the new units.

For your module status condition you need to change your monitored housecode to "D".  Look under menu item "Tools/Hardware Interface Configuration".  The monitored housecode is on the right side of the window about half way down.
