Well well,

Last night I upgraded my AH pc to xp.
Today I downloaded the voiceSDK and BVC trial edition.
It's all installed but I have no mics at my day job so I'll play with it tonight.

I cannot wait.

Your in for a bunch of FUN. Some of us (including Bill) hang at KDR's Home Automation Chat.. later in the evenings. A great place to get any help (you won't likely need). The third party software is an excellent way to expand X10 use.

I can't use this in the studio where I am testing it because the clients will think I'm nuts.
But boy oh boy will this be cool upstairs.

In the paid version, can one change the Awaiting Command to say... What now?
I think I can record my own wav but I'm lazy.

Yep! You can even give the program a selection of phrases to randomly chose from.

I purchased a 16 bit add-on better voice called Kate. I just type in what I would like her to say.
