Unable to dim with CM15A
« on: January 23, 2009, 10:07:40 PM »

Help
I am unable to dim lights using the timers and program thru the controller when the computer is not connected.  I am able to dim any and every lamp module directly using the controls from the software, but the lights never dim as instructed using the timers down loaded to the controller. ???  All other functions work perfectly (off/on times, etc).
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the responses.  Excellent.  You asked for more info:
My two computers are both XP with SP3 and all other automatic updates.
My lamp modules are all at least ten years old, as I have been using an ancient serial port based controller until it broke.
Modules are:
Plug in modules LMT 101,    LM 465 and Radio Shack 61-2882A
wall hard wired lamp modules, also old.
Also I have a SmartHome dryer plug in SignalLinc Repeater Model 4826A, (which I believe is an active powered repeater.)
None of the modules are connected to a surge protective device.

I have unplugged the SmartHome repeater after reading the article at the head of this Troubleshooting section.  See what happens.

Thanks for your help.

All the modules you mentioned are X10 compatible, regardless of what name is on them, AHP will see them as lamp or appliance modules. Make sure all modules are correctly identified as either lamp or appliance modules.
