I am running AHP 3.236.  When I attempt to go to Hardware Interface Configuration to change the time zone the program crashes.  I am running Vista.  I have tred to run AHP in Windows XP compatibility mode, Win 2000 compatibilty mode, and as an administrator in both.  it crases every time.

Also, I cannot get MyHouse to log into the server.

What to I need to do to fix these problems?

It seems 3.236 is one of those "buggy" releases.   Go back to 3.204 (it's in the same place the 3.236 was), install it, once it's installed, upgrade (through AHP) to 3.228.

This is happening to me. I can't get to the hardware configuration window. It crashes when I try to open it. Any ideas/updates?

Dan Lawrence

Easy.   Go to http://software.x10.com/pub/applications/activehome/, get AHP 3.204 and install it over 3.236.   Then using the update link in 3.204, upgrade to 3.228. Your .ahp files should work under 3.204 and 3.228.

It's pretty well known that 3.236 is one of the "buggy releases" of AHP.

Didn't work. It still crashed.

However, I did find a post about the .ahp file. I updated the <data> section with the corrected info and it fixed the problem. HOWEVER, now the "Location" dropdown only shows "Custom". Any ideas?

Dan Lawrence

Did you do what I posted?   if you did, the problem is either a flawed install of 3.236 or a defective .ahx file.  To test theory 1, create a new .ahx file and see if that cures the problem.  If it doesn't, back your .ahx files up and uninstall AHP.  Then reinstall 3.204 and load an .ahx file and see if hardware interface config works correctly, then update to 3.228
