DS7000: Remote indicator of armed status?
« on: April 13, 2009, 10:06:11 AM »

Hi - Is there a way to have some kind of remote indication that the system has been armed, so  you could see before you opened a door for instance?  I'm guessing the only way might be if you had OnAlert software?  If you do have OnAlert, can it turn on/off a light based on status of DS7000? Also - does DS7000 have to communicate with OnAlert via CM15A RF or can DS7000 communicate with OnAlert over powerline?  My DS7000 is pretty far from CM15A =  a good 30 feet, and a couple walls in between.

Thanks,
Michael

If you know what you are doing, you can go into the security console and connect an external LED indicator in place of the local one that can be located where it can be seen. I put a jack on mine so I can plug it in.
