Dial Out Testing
« on: March 04, 2009, 05:56:05 PM »

Is there anyway to test if the DS7000 will dial out without "Arming" the system and then setting it off?

Kramer,
This is the only method I know about to test the dial-out. You either have to trigger an alarm, or you have to set off a panic, but only if the system is armed FIRST will it dial out on a panic. If you press panic without arming the system first it will not dial out. I thought my dialer was not working because I tested it like described above. You can always unplug all external sounders from the wall and place a pillow or towel over the unit if you are concerned about disturbing neighbors etc.

Yeah I already use the pillow method when playing around with the system. ( :'.. I just put a picture of my Mother in Law on the console, this makes using the pillow a lot easier.....  rofl :)% rofl )
