I am having what I am sure are some noise issues with my setup.  One of the biggest places is my garage where I have a fairly large chest freezer.  The problems I have are things like my outside lights randomly coming on, and my garage door randomly opening.  All of these devices are on the same house code.  I would like to put a filter on the freezer, but I can't find on it anywhere where it shows how many amps it draws.  Can anyone recommend a filter to put on this to eliminate my line noise?

I'll bet it's less than 15 amps, if that helps.  When in doubt, I err that the outlet cannot exceed 20 amps.

So, is there a filter that can take the load?  I know an XPPF can't as it is only rated for 5A max.

Most freezers are pretty simple units with just a compressor and a thermostat.  Normal induction motors don't generate noise that will interfere with X10 communication.  Unless it has some sort of high-efficiency electronic control, a freezer is not likely cause problems.

Thanks Jeff, that is good information to know.  I had just assumed that since it had a motor and that many motors inherently cause noise that it could be part of my problem.  I will try the filtering in other places, such as on my computers and TVs.
