Cold Temps
« on: January 27, 2010, 10:21:12 PM »

I have 6 cameras on my setup.  3 of them are outside in extreme temps.

- Rear Deck
- Driveway
-front porch

the rear deck camera is the only camera that works.

All cameras were working when the weather was warmer outside.

I have brought the camera inside to make sure that there was nothing wrong with it, and it works just fine, i then take the camera back outside, it will work for a bit, then it gets really cooooold outside, and that seems to be when i loose the camera.

I am open to any suggestions.

How cold? Those little X10 cameras are generally considered pretty tough. I've never seen one fail due to cold. How cold is it there?

I wish all users would learn to add their location to their profiles! ::) :'
It saves a lot of questions like this!  >*<
That is if posters check  profiles before they reply (another thing that many oldtimers fail to do)! ::) :'

I've had cameras outside for years and never had one fail from cold. However if not protected from moisture then I'm sure they would have failed for me it the extrem cold.
Are the failing cameras protected from driving winds that could get them wet?
