I have the Radio Shack 61-2661 Remote Switch to turn on and off the MATCHED plug in outlet. I am just trying to find the Paper Schematic for this tiny unit to repair it. The hand-held unit works but the Red LED on it does not. I have checked the led and find it is burned out. I am trying to find out the Part Number of the Red LED or the voltage value of the Red LED.  Can anyone help me determine what the LED VOLTAGE is.

You may be out of luck.   Radio Shack has dropped the entire line of Plug-n-Power.  It is very doubtful any  Radio Shack store has the service schematic for it any more.

If you can extract the burned out LED, any electronics shop should be able to match it.

You know even if Radio Shack still had the line of Plug 'n power you could still baffle the sales rep at any store.

I can't find the 26-2661 listed in the Radio Shack Legacy Product Support Area. Is it maybe part of a kit that had a different number?

LEDs are usually pretty hardy. Are you sure it is "burned-out"? (it reads "open", or shorted both ways?). Technically LEDs do not have specific voltages, they are current devices, and the current limiting resistor for your LED will be on the circuit board. So all you need is another LED the same physical size. Radio Shark will likely have a red LED of the same size.

LEDs are polarity sensitive so your new LED must be soldered in the same way (polarity, or +, - lead orientation) the old came out. Look for a small flat spot on the old LED's base flange. That usually marks the cathode lead. On your new LED the cathode lead should be the longest. If no flat spot, then look at the internal structure of the old LED while it is still soldered in the board. Orient your new LED in the same manner.

Unless it is one of the LED's with a built in voltage regulator and I doubt that. A typical one should work
I have used some at workwith regulators . One Red one is 12 volts and another 5 volts. No dropping resistor needed.
As dave w pointed out. Most are rated by the normal current they use and the typical voltage drop across them and are pretty rugged.
I would say try and fine one with physical characteristic's that fits.
