First of all let me say my system is installed and so far working.  I did a lot of windows plus doors, so a bit time consuming, but hopefully worth it.

I have one question about the lamp module that was included, LM465.  It does not flash the lamp off and on quickly like I thought it would, just slowly on and off.   Is this the soft start model?

Is there another module I may have missed that flashes quickly?

Thanks,  Sara

The Socket Rocket does not have the Soft Start feature. However the light is flashed by signals from the security console.  each ON and OFF command is almost a second in duration so the light, at best, will be one second ON followed by one second OFF

LM15A is a Socket Rocket. It screws in to the lamps socket and is not plugged into the wall. It does not have soft start.

The LM465 Lamp Module has been Soft Start for almost two years now if my dates are correct.
They don't flash when used for a Security Consoles Security Light. Like the older ones did.

The Black and Decker Freewire 'FWLR' was a lamp module made by X10 for them. It does not have Soft Start and I tried it with both the address on and off and All Lights On and All Units off. It worked fine. B&D dropped the whole line but I have seen some Automation Dealers still listing them. I picked up a few at my local surplus store.

Smarthome seem to still have some of the FWLR Modules.

Smarthomes Insteon 2456D3 Dimmer Module can also have an X10 Primary Address programed in to it. It can be set for a .2 to 9 second ramp rate. The lower cost Icon versions are questionable. The web says a fixed 2 second ramp rate while my original production units have a .2 second ramp rate. Cost is much higher than an X10. Especially now that x10 has an 8 module offer for $49.99  ;D

No, it isn't. I was answering sara2's very last question. I could have explained that a little better.
