What's happening with my timer?
« on: August 09, 2009, 09:43:02 PM »

Hi all -

I'm having an AHP/timer problem.  I have a timer setup to turn on A1 (which are my living room lights) at dusk.  I am letting the CM15A act as a transceiver for house code A.  What happens is my lights don't turn on, but in my AHP log I see this when the timer runs:

>> 8/9/2009 8:24:26 PM Macro A1 Extended Code 3e 31 - Preset receiver operation (Main LR Lights)

This message is repeated 3 times in 1 second intervals. If I use my remote or click on A1 in AHP it works fine, but the timer doesn't seem to work.

I have other devices which are setup as dusk/dawn timers and they all work with no problems. The A1 module is an old (10 - 11 years) lamp module - if that makes any difference.

Any thoughts as to why this one module/timer is giving me a hard time?

Thanks!

Jacob

What version of AHP are you using?  If it's 3.236, that's a known buggy version.  :'(

I'm running 2.228 - but I think I fixed my own problem!

I had the A1 unit in AHP defined as a two-way lamp module when in reality it's a very old (10+ years) plain lamp module.  I switched it and saved everything.  When I came home tonight the main living room lights were on at dusk!

I don't know if I overlooked this or if in between the install, downgrade, upgrade dance something in my AHX file got all wonky.  I had two other modules that were also defined as two-way modules which I fixed.  Those were not being run by any timers though, and were otherwise working just fine.

Thanks!
