System reset??
« on: July 23, 2009, 12:09:07 AM »

Hi all,

I am new here and just got my security system up and running. During testing, I had the system call me. Once I pressed “0” to listen in, the alarm went off so I could hear the background. I was very impressed with what I could hear! With the base unit upstairs, I could hear my son and wife talking downstairs.

After I press “0”, if I hang up, will the system reset itself? Or, do I need to go home and do a reset?

THANKS for any info.

The PS561 will reset to the armed state after 4 minutes. It will blink the armed LED to show that it had been tripped. You need to press the lights off button on your remote to reset the LED.

Yeah you're right the microphone is really sensitive same thing I noticed when I first got mine 10 years ago, x10 really did do a good job on that one.  :)% Now you don't have to do anything to reset the alarm again for example if the bad guys came back in before you get home the unit will sound the siren and dial out again! You can turn it off and check what area was breached when you arrive home. And be sure to get those LARGE powerhorns, they are really loud and trust me this is what helps get the bad guys out your house sure did on mine. X10 usually has a 3 for one sale these are actually very high quality I've seen similar for something like 50 bucks a piece!
