Since none of us get paid for our time here (at least nobody on your list), thanks are always appreciated so as Bill said "Thanks for the Thanks." Also clicking a helpful from time to time if you feel someone has helped and letting them know they helped goes a long way.
Perhaps the best way for someone to say thanks is to post that suggestions have worked. Nothing is more frustrating than for someone to spend hours making suggestions and then to have the original poster drop off the planet and we or future readers of the post have no idea if the problem was resolved. Remember someone else is very likely to have your same problem in the future.
While there are few problems that haven't occurred before in one way on another, we realize they're new problems to a new user. That said, when a new poster with a problem proceeds it with "I searched all the forum for a solution...", responses tend to be posted faster. Also reading some of the "sticky topics" (topics locked to the top a particular discussion) that were stuck there for a reason can be helpful.
You may find your questions from time to time answered with a link to a previous post on a related topic. This is not because we're tired of answering the same question over and over (ok sometimes
) but more because we'd rather see you learn to fish than just feeding you the fish to paraphrase an old saying.
Then as you become an expert, share your experiences and help other newbies.
