Using X-10 Door switches with AHP
« on: October 27, 2009, 07:17:30 PM »

Hello,  I just purchased X10 AHP, Will I be able to use a x10 door/window sensor to activate lights through AHP?  Instead of using motion sensors?  I did not see any door/window sensors in the security tabs.

Thanks
Brian

The DS10A Door/Window sensor transmits X10 Security codes.  You'll need the OnAlert software plug-in for AHP to handle these security codes.

FYI, the DS10A has a "heartbeat", i.e., it transmits its current Alert or Normal status approximately every 70 minutes so the receiving software knows that it's operational.

Yesterday it worked.
Today it doesn't work.
X10 on Windows is like that.
