Active Eye sensitivity

Can't seem to figure out which way to turn the sensitivity adjustment on the top of my active eye to get it to turn the lights on earlier at night/off later in the morning--I guess you'd say this would be less sensitive to sun light as it would require more sun light to get it to recognize it was day.  Would I turn it all the way clockwise or counter clockwise?  I didn't get the instructions with the unit--it was given to me second hand.

You can probably download the manual for your sensor at:

I'm not absolutely certain which model you have (look for a model number on the back or inside the battery compartment), but on most of the ones I've seen, that knob on the top controls the "off delay" timer instead of the sensitivity.

It's the ActiveEye (MS16A) and the instructions I've found on the x10 wiki don't mention the adjustment on the top.

As ITguy has mentioned, the top control is for the off delay timer; there is no control for the light sensitivity.

Furthermore, the ActiveEye needs to be programmed to use either the digital delay or the analog delay (top adjustment dial). My 2 cents.

I think the term "variable" in this case was a poor word choice. The MS16A dusk/dawn is different from all the other models because it can be disabled (variable???)... different wording would have been less ambiguous.

From the manual :
"To change the delay after motion is detected before an OFF code is transmitted:
Press the House/On button once. The red light flashes. Then, (within 3 seconds) press and hold the Unit/Off
button. The green light turns on. 3 seconds later the red light reports its delay setting as follows:
1 blink for Analog setting, i.e. the setting on the dial on the top of the unit...... "

X10's manuals make you do heavy reading between the lines.
