X10 to IR

I am looking to use the palmpad to control some simple things like volume for my reciever, etc.  I saw this thread, but I was wondering if anyone had other ideas?

I am not really interested in interfacing with a PC though, I really want just a simple standalone that can learn IR and spit them back out when X10 RF is received.
