I have one of those chain link lamps that hangs from hooks on the ceilings it has a rotary wheel for local control, i ensured that it was set to on, and pre-programmed a socket rocket for this lamp. after installing the socket rocket, i can not get it to work with this lamp...even with a maxi controller on the same receptacle.

The rotary wheel switch. It is a plain on and off and not some intermediate levels between on and off.
Standard Incadescent bulb in the Socket Rocket?
I would try it back in the socket you programmed it in and make sure it still functions.
