Error Getting X10 Interface
« on: December 18, 2009, 01:18:29 AM »

B:( B:(The X10 Activehome Pro lost the correct time.  I changed the batteries ( have tried several different ones).  When I connect to USB port, the port acknowledges the connection, but when I try to start ActiveHome Pro I get "Error Getting X10 Interface".  Any ideas how to determine the cause and correct this? B:( B:(

Thanks

Just throwing out ideas here.

Have you tried restarting windows?  How about rebooting your computer?

Yes,  I've reloaded several times and no change.  I'm running XP and for years have used the AHP offline, only using the computer to program it. This is the first time I've been unable to connect.

I had the same problem recently and I took the batteries out of the CM15A for at least a few minutes.  Reinstalled the batteries and connected USB cable and it was good to go.   If you have another computer, you might try installing AHP on it.  If you still have problems, you may have to replace the CM15A.  Good luck....

This is an issue with alot of USB stuff B:(
Try an other USB Port You may not have it plugged into the origial port that you used to configure AHP. ;)
