PUM01 and MicroLert
« on: February 08, 2010, 02:51:19 PM »

I need a visual alert to go along with the audible alert that comes from the PUM01. I'm thinking of purchasing a MicroLert LED warning light. This device draws 198mA@24VDC. Can I just wire it across the PUM01 terminals? I plan on using the Continuous Sounder and Relay mode. It should only be on for a minute or 2. I understand the PUM01 supplies 5A@24VDC, it seems like it should work.

The PUM01 has no voltage on its output connections. The switch has a rating of up to 24 Volts at 5 Amps.
You will need an external power source to run the MicroAlert LED light.

OK, thanks. Do you know of any manufacturers that make a small indoor visual alarm/alert that would work?

I don't know of a self contained visual alarm/alert device with an internal power supply.
You can use the PUM01 and the MicroAlert LED warning light if you can add a 24 volt wall wart power supply to the setup.

Yeah, I was hoping to find something all in one housing that I could plug into a 120vac and activate using the PUM01 contacts. Thanks
