Firecracker ??

This going be a duh-ugh response for most but **it happens.
I ordered 12pc firecracker w/out checking my laptop. assuming all have a serial port and guess what? B:( It don't
?#1 can I get to work using adapter of somekind, I Have a sireal mouse into a PS/2 into USB. Why You ask? I am disabled use a Quadjoy Mouse. http://www.quadjoy.com/quadjoy.htm
Or will I need to go another route like  Active Home Pro??

Hope Someone can advise Me

The CM17A Firecracker can be used with a USB-Serial adapter, provided the adapter supports the DTR and RTS serial status lines.  The inexpensive ($2-$5) adapters from Hong Kong support only the RX and TX lines - none of the status lines - so won't work.

Yesterday it worked.
Today it doesn't work.
X10 on Windows is like that.

Maybe just switching to a CM19A (USB mouse shaped) newer firecracker might be a good solution.
