front end to tie everything in
« on: March 06, 2010, 12:37:46 PM »

Ok so I tried Ihouse, liked the idea, but like other here find it does not play nice. why not a front end that would tie everything together in one package, so all the software we presently use would be accessed from the front end. I have x10commander on my iphone that I can send commends to my AHP. I like the idea of using a touch screen like the builders of Ihouse.

I'm not sure what you mean by a front end?
-Bill- (of wgjohns.com) and myself have discused creating a client server application that BVC and PCC could use to talk to each other.
It was discussed to add the option so any SDK program could access it.
I'm not sure if this is what your looking for but I'm currently working on the server app.

you can call Windows media center a front end, or mythtv or HyperSpin http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/ it just a fancy interface, that is visual pleasing then looking at 4 or 5 different programs.
